New US Withholding Tax on Payments to Foreign Financial Institutions
The United States has recently adopted a new withholding tax to enforce reporting on offshore accounts of US persons. On 20 May 2010, members of our global tax team presented a webinar to discuss the options available to offshore investment funds, banks and other financial institutions.
The webinar was led by New York-based Partner Robert Scarborough and Counsel Eschrat Rahimi-Laridjani, and London-based Partner Mark Kalderon.
