Experience

Ludwig Leyendecker has been a partner since 1993 and works in our Cologne office. He is a member of our corporate practice group and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and company law. He has in particular worked on transactions in the TMT, aviation and general industries sectors.

Ludwig was born in 1958. He completed his legal education at the University of Bonn (1987 Dr iur), the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales, Geneva and Georgetown University, Washington D.C. (1985 LLM). Before joining the firm, he worked for international law firms in Washington D.C., London and Paris. From 2000 to 2003, he was (co-) managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for the region of Germany and Austria. He is president of the German-American Lawyers Association (DAJV).

Ludwig joined the firm in 1989. He speaks German, English, French and Italian.
