Freshfields named top firm in Consumer Products and Retail sector
International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has been named the top ranked legal adviser by volume on European mergers within the Consumer Product & Retail sector for the first six months of 2008 by Mergermarket's European Deal Maker Report.
During the first half of this year, the firm advised on 16 deals, more than any of its competitors, their combined value exceeding Euro 18.4 billion. In the period analysed, the Consumer Product and Retail sector featured as one of the most active across all markets, accounting for three of the seven biggest European M&A transactions completed in Europe.
