The Saudi Arabian team comprises the head of our Saudi practice, Tobias Müller-Deku, and seven dedicated lawyers The head of our Saudi corporate practice, Fares Al Hejailan, is a dual Saudi and English law-qualified lawyer. From a capital markets perspective, we advise on major IPOs in the region as well as advising on major rights issues on the Tadawul (the Saudi Stock Exchange). We also have one of the most sophisticated regulatory practices in the region, working with several of the key regulators in the Kingdom.

Dispute resolution

We have advised on some of the most high-profile arbitrations in the region and we have rights of audience locally in Saudi Arabia through our association with the Law Firm of Salah Al-Hejailan. We have recently been advising various parties in relation to their exposure in high profile insolvency cases.

Finance

We have expertise in project, asset, structured and Islamic finance.

Our Saudi project finance experience includes the privatisation of water desalination facilities, the Jeddah water and wastewater public private partnership and working on King Abdullah Economic City.

We advise on the subtleties of complying with Islamic financing principles and co-ordinate Islamic and conventional tranches of financing and innovative products in long-term finance. Our Islamic finance team works in several key industries, including energy, transportation and real estate.
